Francesco Bianconi

Forever

On the 16th of October 2020 Forever, the first solo project by Francesco Bianconi was released for BMG and Ponderosa Music & Art. It is a pure and minimalist effort for which the songwriter decided to put himself out there, stripping himself of superfluous elements to focus only on the songs.

Forever is composed of ten original songs with few arrangements and was born from the idea of using the voice as the only percussive element, but is accompanied by a string quartet, the Quartetto Balanescu ensemble, and two pianists Michele Fedrigotti and Thomas Bartlett, that alternated in the execution of the tracks.

As the artist himself said: «After two pop and maximalist projects with Baustelle, I wanted to go back to something purer and minimalist. […] focusing on purity and on the songs more than on the other elements dictated by the current trends, age, or culture».

Moreover, in his work Bianconi strongly wanted international guests with whom he had the pleasure to collaborate on both the writing and the performing of the tracks: Rufus Wainwright, Eleanor Friedberger, Kazu Makino, and Hindi Zahra.

Forever is a universal album, probably timeless, where the only things that really matter are the songs.
