Domenico Imperato

Bellavista

Bellavista is the second album of songwriter Domenico Imperato. If Postura Libera, his first discographic effort, can be considered a sea-themed record, Bellavista is the opposite: it’s an earth-themed record. In Bellavista there a precise will to move the gaze’s fixed position using a smaller lens to tell small stories, common stories.

Bellavista is a record made of stories of daily resistance, of precariousness and hope, that never loses the chance to report the arrogance and the abuse of a sly and wild power. In parallel to these characters, a couple of lovers move within the record to tell their disillusionment due to the end of their love story.

Domenico leaves the Brazilian sounds behind to realize a more Italian record, more electronic, harder but without losing the classic guitars, the cellos, and the drums’ acoustic warmth that are mixed into another musical melting pot that is more complete, more powerful, and more faithful to the artist’s interests. A record between many different music genres: rock, pop, ethnic, world, electronic.
