Break in jazz

Break in Jazz comes to its 25th edition and presents a special program at the dehors of Volvo Studio Milano. The project was created to give an opportunity to perform live to the alumni of the Civici Corsi di Jazz, the prestigious Milanese school founded and directed by the maestro Enrico Intra.

The concerts are organized in collaboration with the Associazione Culturale Musica Oggi which manages the Civici COrsi di Jazz, an integral part of the Civica Scuola di Musica Claudio Abbado.

The program, based on the graduation thesis of the students, combines education and production like in the best performing arts schools and highlights unique didactic activities. The program will include traditional jazz tracks composed during the Thirties and the Fourties, bebop classics, and contemporary jazz, while also looking to pop-jazz. The program will be performed by the graduating students of the Alta Formazione Artistica e Musicale of the Civici Corsi Jazz directed by Maestro Enrico Intra. A musical genre perfect to accompany cocktail hour that will help the audience to approach music safely again.

Break In Intra. An interview with Milan’s very own jazzman.

Some things never change. The surprise we feel at a live performance, the sense of expectation before a trip, the satisfying flavor of good wine and the emotion of meeting and talking to a great artist. Someone who has sparked emotion in many, and who is virtually incapable of sparing himself. As Break in Jazz opens once more at Milan’s Volvo studio, we took a short break of our own with Enrico Intra.
