Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino

Il Mito celebrates the 50th anniversary of the most important and longest-running apulian music band. Named after the homonymous text written by Rina Durante, founder of the group in 1975, and set to music by Daniele Durante, Il Mito is an invitation to enter the great CGS family: a journey through memory and contemporaneity, where tradition meets new languages and visions. The album closes with a remastered version of Taranta, the celebrated composition by Mauro Durante and Ludovico Einaudi (2015): a bridge between past and future, with the piano of the Piedmontese artist sealing a music that heals, unites, and makes people dance. With this release, Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino crowns an extraordinary 2025, marked by a new international tour, an upcoming documentary, an interactive exhibition, artistic residencies, talks, special concerts, and a major celebration in Melpignano.
