Lambert

Bio

Lambert was born Paul Tony Lambert in 1983 in Germany and is one of the most incredible talents of the music panorama. His bold vision and his ability to write music were influenced so much by pop music and contemporary culture as by the classic repertoire, Lambert is, indeed, ipnotic, dark and ebchanting at the same time.

The first quality that come to mind when thinking about the artist is “misterious”, indeed the pianist has always used a leather mask to conceal his identity. His debut, Lambert, was published by the Berliner independent label Saatsakt in 2014, followed by Stay in The Dark (2015) and Lost Tapes (2016).

In 2017 he was added to the artist rooster of the Universal imprint, Mercury KX that already included Ólafur Arnalds and Sebastian Plano. That same year he debuted with the label with Sweet Apocalypse, an album with a considerable presence of drums, strings and brass instruments. In 2018 Lambert produced We Share Phenomena of which two versions were published: one presenting a substantial vocal contribution by Rue Royale’s Brookln Dekker and a totally instrumental second version.

2019 saw the realization of many of his projects: two EPs, Alone and Alone II and the album True, the release of which was accompanied by the fake documentary Becoming Lambert directed by Tom Oxenham.

The most eclectic and versatile project by Lambert was False (2020) which presented to the public fourteen new artists signed by Mercury KX.
