The Argentine indie rock band that emerged from the vibrant underground music scene of La Plata, Argentina. Formed in 2003, the band has become one of the most influential and beloved acts in Latin America, renowned for their poetic lyrics, atmospheric soundscapes, and captivating live performances.

Led by Santi Motorizado, the band consists of Gustavo “Niño” Monsalvo (guitar), Guillermo “Willy” Caballero (guitar), Manuel “Manu” Moretti (bass), and Agustín “Toma” Rocino (drums). Together, they create a unique blend of indie rock, shoegaze, and post-punk, characterized by dreamy melodies, swirling guitars, and introspective lyrics.

El Mató a un Policía Motorizado released a trilogy of EPs, “Un millón de euros,” (2004), “Navidad de Reserva” (2006). And “Día de los Muertos” (2010), that garnered widespread critical acclaim and established them as a force to be reckoned with in the Latin American music scene.

The band continued to evolve and experiment with their sound, releasing albums such as “La Dinastía Scorpio” (2012) and “La Síntesis O’Konor” (2017), and recently “Super Terror” (2023), which further solidified their reputation as innovators in the indie rock, solidifying their legacy as one of the most important bands to emerge from Latin America in recent years.
