Dimitri Grechi Espinoza - The Spiritual Way
Ponderosa Music Records - March 2020
In this third CD of the OREB project for saxophone solo and natural reverberation, Dimitri Grechi Espinoza deals with the theme of spiritual virtues, considering it important to re-propose it in times like these, apparently so not very spiritual.
Through music, he has tried to echo and resonate a writing of the Chinese tradition that outlines a path of inner asceticism and synthetically expresses the key principles.
Thanks go to all those who contributed to the realization of the project. A wish goes to all those who sincerely wish to embark on this spiritual path towards a humanity lived fully.
"To develop natural virtues a man works first of all to perfect himself. To perfect himself, first of all he regulates the beats of his heart. To regulate the heart beats he regulates the breath, to regulate the breath concentrates the mind. To concentrate, the mind makes the will perfect, developing knowledge as much as possible. Knowledge develops by penetrating the essence of things. Once the essence of things has penetrated, knowledge reaches its highest degree. When knowledge has reached its degree higher, the will becomes perfect. The will is perfect, the mind becomes stable. The stable mind calms the breath so that even the heartbeats become regular. Once the heartbeats are regulated, the man is without defects. The man without flaws is in balance and operates with equanimity, compassion, justice and righteousness in the world. " Dimitri Grechi Espinoza.
