Canzoniere <\/em><\/strong>is a \u201ccollection\u201d of twelve songs (eleven originals and a traditional one) that consecrated the band\u2019s international dimension. Mauro Durante <\/strong>conceived an ambitious and innovative album, with Salentinian lyrics, sounds, and soul, but with an international aspiration. Alongside his exceptional bandmates (Giulio Bianco, Emanuele Licci, Massimiliano Morabito, Giancarlo Paglialunga, Silvia Perrone, <\/strong>and Alessia Tondo<\/strong>) he confronted new musical styles and personalities, without ever losing their own unique style and authenticity. In Canzoniere <\/em><\/strong>the pizzica meets the world with vigor and maturity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the guests stand out the British Justin Adams <\/strong>in \u201cAiora\u201d (guitarist and Robert Plant\u2019s long-time collaborator), and Anglo-French songwriter Piers Faccini <\/strong>in \u201cSubra Sutta\u201d, of which he is also the co-author. In addition, the album is enriched by Marco Decimo\u2019s cello.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joe Mardin<\/strong>, son of the renowned Arif Mardin (Norah Jones, Aretha Franklin, The Bee Gees, Chaka Khan, etc), is the album\u2019s producer and mixing engineer. The mastering engineer is Sterling Sound\u2019s Joe LaPorta<\/strong> (winner of Best Engineer at the Grammys for David Bowie\u2019s Blackstar<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
