GOAT<\/strong>, an experimental fusion music group, formed in Sweden in the little town of Korpilombolo. The band presents itself with a formation whose aesthetics and symbolism retrace the imagination of a mysterious society dedicated to divinatory practices. The group members are unknown, and their anonymity is maintained through folkloric masks and costumes which they wear during performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GOAT<\/strong> signed in 2012 with the English record label Rocket Recordings and published World Music.<\/em> The members of the band said about the album: \u00abThey have taught us to explore not only western music but also the world music in a broader sense. The title World Music<\/em> was chosen because we believe that we play \u201cworld music\u201d and this is what we think everyone plays\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The album received various positive reviews both by the audience and by critics, The Guardian defined it as one of the best albums of 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group\u2019s success, increased by their appearances and the mystery they carry, granted them the possibility to perform at Glastonbury Festival<\/em> in 2013 and at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival <\/em>in 2014. That same year, GOAT<\/strong> published their second album Commune<\/em>, in which acid rock sounds are mixed with world music vibes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After their second performance at Glastonbury Festival<\/em> in 2015 and at Primavera Sound<\/em> in Barcelona, GOAT <\/strong>performed in Italy at Circolo Magnolia in Milan in May 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GOAT<\/strong> published their third album, Requiem<\/em><\/strong>, in 2016. The record presents itself as a meeting point between different musical languages like funk and rock in order to concentrate on crossing stylistic influences and blend tradition with modernity. Ondarock defined GOAT<\/strong>\u2019s album as a \u00abprecious and powerful record, in many ways indispensable, which centrifuges languages, populations, aromas, gathering everything together, magically, as few have done before\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between the latest projects of the group, it is important to mention their performance at Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg in 2018 as the opening band for Foo Fighters, and the publication of Rhythms<\/em>, a solo album by one of the members of the group, Goatman<\/strong>, who however maintained the basic and fundamental elements of GOAT<\/strong> even in his soloist production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
