Ludovico Einaudi

Despite the title, the concert recorded for La Scala: Concert 03.03.03 was performed at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan on the 3rd of March 2003. The construction of this theatre is tied to the events of the Teatro alla Scala since Teatro degli Arcimboldi was meant to host plays and concerts on the occasion of the last restoration of La Scala in 2003. It’s on this occasion that Ludovico Einaudi performed this extraordinary selection of some of his most breathtaking compositions.

The record is a journey through the most famous tracks by the Italian pianist. Nonetheless, Einaudi doesn’t renounce adding an homage to rock through a cover of The Rolling Stone’s “Lady Jane”. The concert – besides being an occasion to celebrate the prestigious Teatro degli Arcimboldi – is also a great tribute to Einaudi’s career and artistry which is always able to deeply move his public.
